When was your organization created? |
White Eagles Sport Association in Calgary is the oldest sport and recreation
Polish organization in Canada. It was formed in 1948 as the result of the initiative of the group of Polish immigrants, most of them recently demilitarized members of the
Polish Armed Forces in the West. The Association has been working continuously since the time it was established.
What is the main goal of your organization? |
White Eagles is a volunteer organization whose purpose is the development and propagation of sport and physical and recreational culture among the Polish community in Calgary and surrounding area.
Over the course of your history, what is your organization most proud of? |
Our teams’ success in many soccer tournaments including:
1995 – Winning North American Polish community tournament in Edmonton
1999 – Gold medal in Provincial Master’s division Alberta
1999 – Bronze medal in Canadian Championship Master’s division, Chilliwack BC
2019 – Nations Cup Calgary Championship
2021 and 2022 – Silver medals in Nations Cup Calgary
