KRAKUSY POLISH FOLK DANCE ASSOCIATION

When was your organization created?

Krakusy Polish Folk Dance Association has been around since 2001, so almost for 25 years.

What is the main goal of your organization?

Krakusy is a youth Polish Canadian dance association with the mission of cultivating and sharing Polish heritage through song and dance with all audiences, locally and abroad.  We strive to provide high quality instruction, great care, and passion, as well as deepening the love and appreciation for the Polish culture in children, youth, and their families. We continue to grow and develop our skills and community with each passing year. We bring children and youth together in an environment that promotes friendships, respect, hard work, and dedication and enables them to build up their physical, emotional, and mental health.

Over the course of your history, what is your organization most proud of?

Over the years we have created connections and community between dancers and their families that have lasted beyond the scope of the Krakusy organization. Many of our dancers have built long lasting friendships that continue into their adulthood thanks to Krakusy. Our ensemble has been very fortunate to showcase our culture on local and international stages, enabling us to appreciate other cultures and traditions.

How can someone find out more about your organization?
