November 11, 1947.
The Polish Combatants Association in Canada Branch #18 in Calgary was created by former soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces who fought with the Allien Forces during World II, refused to return to a communist – run Poland after the world, and emigrated to Canada, finding a safe home in Calgary
What is the main goal of your organization? |
Our main goal is to maintain the memory of all who through the years of Polish history fought for freedom, independence, and democracy.
Over the course of your history, what is your organization most proud of? |
We are a 76-year-old organization, and our founders, the veterans of World War II are all gone, but our organization is still strong and promotes the history of Polish struggle for independence, peace and patriotism.
